Wet Dog

As summer approaches many dog owners will find themselves with a wet and or muddy dog. For dogs, the season for swimming in lakes, playing in puddles, and rolling in the mud is quickly approaching. Fortunately for owners there are some items that help deal with the mess made by a wet or muddy dog. The Mud Magnet Glove is an easy way to wipe off a dog and clean his paws before coming inside. The Mud Magnet absorbs water and grime for easy cleaning. Bath Wipes can also be helpful for a quick cleaning. Bath sprays and colognes can help reduce that wet dog smell. Also be aware that a wet dog, particularly those with heavy coats, can be more susceptible to hot spots. Hot spots often occur when water gets trapped next to the skin. Moisture under a wet collar is a frequent source of hot spots in the summer. Keeping a dog dry reduces the risk of hot spots, but if a dog does develop hot spots Dr. Dog’s Skin Care for Dogs can treat them.
