CARE PRODUCTS
Most pets experience some medical issues during their lifetime. There are numerous products, however, that can help prevent these problems or help treat them. For example Elizabethan Collars can be helpful when used in a couple different situations. If a pet is continuously biting at an itchy or sore area use of an ‘E-collar’ surrounds the head like a dish keeping the pet from reaching the affected area. Frequently a pet wears an E-collar after surgery. Many pets have trouble leaving bandaged areas alone. The e-collar is an important tool in keeping a wound protected and properly wrapped so that it can heal fully. The Cut Heal Pad Heal is a product that helps in the healing of minor wounds to the paws. It helps protect and seal wounds to block moisture and germs allowing the paw to heal faster. Dr. Dog Skin Care for Dogs is effective in treating and relieving hot spots, a common skin condition for many dogs. For minor eye irritations, or debris in your pet’s eye, Opti Clear Eye Wash is an excellent flushing agent. Ear mites can be a problem for either dogs or cats. Four Paws Ear Mite Remedy eliminates mites and soothes the ear. Don’t forget that home remedy does not replace good veterinary care. As always, if you have concerns about your pet’s health contact your vet immediately.

WINTER SUPPLIES
As Winter approaches here are some products that can help during the chilly months. Sweaters and coats are a practical accessory and/or necessity for lean dogs like greyhounds, and small dogs that may be unaccustomed or ill suited for the cold. Paws can also be at risk in the winter. Ice, road salt, and sand can be painful and damaging to pet’s paws. Dog boots or Paw Wax can help protected paws from the elements. Using a pet safe ice melt on you own driveway is also a good idea as salt can be particularly harmful. Heated beds can be a favorite for pets during the winter. They can be particularly helpful for senior pets whose stiff joints may be aggravated by the cold.
